I love the energy kids have, their enthusiasm and curiosity over the littlest things in life are only a few of the reasons why I have such a passion for what I do.

After shifting over from being a painting major , I decided where better to learn to take pictures than beautiful Florence, Italy. I spent a semester abroad studying photography and bookmaking, and returned back to the states with a newfound passion and I knew that photography was something I wanted to pursue with all my heart. I also developed a life-long passion for pasta!  In 2008 I completed my degree in portrait photography and graduated from Columbia College Chicago.

Currently I am living in Wheaton, IL with my wonderful husband, who is an amazing designer.  Last September we added a new baby girl to our family, Maelyn Eloise. She has not come without a share of adjustments and challenges, but we have fallen in love with her little smile and spunk! I am enjoying the constant adventure of motherhood, and could not ask for a better subject to take pictures of than my own daughter. She keeps me on my toes!

Working only with natural light, I capture the innocent thrill of childhood in a contemporary and colorful way; leaving you with timeless portraits that show your child's individuality. No awkward poses, or pastel backgrounds here! I take the time to let your children truly be themselves, in an environment where they are comfortable. To make things easy, I am now charging one simple rate for the session with a disk of the images included.
